N.E.W.S will be organising some working events over
the next few months. So those of you with an interest in training

GUNDOG TRAINING DAYS - HAREWOOD HOUSE near LEEDS 2010
N.E.W.S will be holding a series of gundog training
days on land at Harewood House by kind permisson of Lord &
Lady Lascelles with trainer Penny Pickstone.
The days will be aimed at novice dogs and will include tuition
on understanding how a Weimaraner works in the field, hunting
and retrieving.
The dates are as follows
Sunday 7 March 2010 - 1 place available
Sunday 4 April 2010 - FULLY BOOKED
Sunday 16 May 2010 - FULLY BOOKED
Sunday 13 June 2010 - FULLY BOOKED
Cost is £20 for one dog and handler and will be limited to
6 places per session. Preference to members.
Arrive at 9.15 for 9.30 prompt start until approximately
3 pm. Please bring a packed lunch. No bitches in season allowed.
Please note that we are very fortunate to have the use
of this land and must respect the wishes of the owners whilst
on the estate. Dogs must be under control at all times and
no bitches in season will be permitted. For further information,

SHOT OVER DAY 2009
The Society will be holding a shot-over day at Tockwith off
the A1, between York and Wetherby by kind permission of Mr
Scholey.
The day is limited to 6 dogs and handlers, each dog to be
run individually. Please note this is not a beginners day
and is aimed at novice dogs that have already been shot-over.
We aim to meet at 9 am for a prompt 9.30 am start until
about 3 pm.
Please bring packed lunch and suitable wet weather gear.
Please note, strictly no bitches in season will be allowed
on the day.
Cost per dog & handler £45.

Due to the forthcoming shooting season being soon upon us
the training days at Harewood have now finished for this year.
We hope to be able to use the land again next year from February
2010 onwards and any members wishing to register an interest
in future training should e-mail Jean
Byrne and you will be contacted when we have any agreed
dates.
